We are looking for enthusiastic youth between the ages of 14-20 to join us this summer at Impact Skate Camp!
More than just volunteers, we are looking for mentors. This is a chance to positively affect kids' lives by giving them support and positive role-modelling. Helping our participants have a fun, safe camp experience will also help you to learn how to build trusting relationships based on honesty and caring.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
Help with skateboard instruction
Support the instructors with lessons, games, and activities
Help supervise on TTC trips
Help supervise at the swimming pool
Be patient, kind, and encouraging of ALL kids
Arrive on time, and let staff know if you'll be absent/late
Volunteers will gain valuable skills and experience in program planning, leadership, conflict resolution, and much more. Your work with us can also be cited on your resume, and as a reference for school, college/university, and job applications.
Selected applicants will be required to attend a short training day before the start of camps.
