What Do We Do?
In group lessons and with individual instruction, campers will develop their skateboarding skills through a linear, methodical curriculum that starts with the basics, with emphasis on inclusivity, personal development, and teamwork. More advanced participants will have the opportunity to be mentored by our team of instructors, pushing their skating to the next level!
Beyond just skateboarding, summer camp appeals to kids' sense of adventure with trips throughout the week to different skateparks, as well as swimming, film-making, fun games, giveaways, ramp-building, skateboard art, and tons more! (Some of these activities may be modified to comply with COVID guidelines. Read more here.)
During down time, we hold group discussions about how the lessons learned through skateboarding can positively effect on our lives; developing healthy self-esteem, fostering determination and resilience, and being advocates for equality are things we can carry with us beyond the skate park!
What Makes Us Different?
We help campers understand healthy social skills and emotional well-being through skateboarding, as well as positive ways of dealing with frustration and developing confidence on and off the board.
Camp participants thrive by being in a safe, friendly, fun learning environment where they can explore skating, and learn what it has to offer. Impact promotes healthy, active lifestyles, while working to foster a sense of community and responsibility through the lens of skateboarding.
What Do I Need?
No skateboarding experience is required!
Campers will need a skateboard and helmet, and knee/elbow pads are highly recommended, but we will supply equipment for those who need to borrow it—just indicate what you need on the registration form. When you're ready to purchase gear, you can take a look at our Parent FAQ for information on what to buy, and where to go.
All camp spots are now full! We anticipate similar guidelines to the summer of 2021, and are accepting 30 participants per session. Since we've reached that limit for all 9 weeks of summer camp, we will start accepting people on the waitlist.
Whether you are among the first 30 or after, government and public health guidelines can change without much notice. The best we can do is keep everyone posted as soon as possible. Before applying, please read our COVID statement to ensure that this program is right for your child.
