Back in late 2019 we opened our first indoor park and youth space, and a few months later the world shut down.
Today was our first indoor session since then, thanks to our friends at @evergreen_brick_works and @ramp2rail! The space and the features are beautiful, but what makes it so incredible is the kids who come out: ready to play, learn, push, and push through!
We often talk about skateboarding encompassing so many life skills, although the one that's been sticking out to me lately is finding joy in resilience, persistence, and refinement. It's play, but only if we choose to make it that way.
It's been a great start to the new year at this new spot! Keep an eye out for special events here with @queerskatetoronto and @laterskatersgang in the coming weeks!
