Ugly Sweater Holiday Party

Beyond grateful for everyone who came to our Ugly Sweater Holiday Party! This was a celebration, as well as a call to action. The new indoor spot is a space for everyone, and it was so great to see so many young people come out to support each other—over 120 folks came through!

The party also helped to support our chapter of @skateforchange, which engages and encourages skateboarders to serve their community. We added a ton of new donations for our next homeless outreach: socks, clothing, snacks, personal care supplies, and more! The kids that come through our programs understand that when we help others, we help ourselves.

A special thank-you goes to the youth who participated in our community marketplace. We had homemade pickles, a new clothing brand, photography and art prints, and handmade clothes and totes for sale. Feeling so proud of the awesome work being done, and so honored that these folks came out and made the event that much more amazing!

Another thanks goes to @cobsdandorth for the delicious scones and gift bags for the winners of our ugly sweater/t-shirt contest!

To everyone who came out, participated, volunteered: we are so thankful for you. This is a community where everyone belongs, and we couldn’t ask for a better group of people to celebrate with!
